Tehran veterinary chief pledges uninterrupted health inspections amid war

Tehran - The Director General of the Tehran Province Veterinary Organization has reaffirmed the continuation of strict health inspections on raw animal products.

Ahmad Shariati emphasized that operations remain fully active despite the country's wartime conditions, with livestock and poultry slaughterhouses and packaging centers continuing to function.

"In order to protect public health, the veterinary organization's sanitary inspections are being carried out with full force and determination under all circumstances," he said.

Providing further details, Shariati explained that veterinary health inspectors are conducting round-the-clock monitoring and special patrols to prevent any unhygienic or unfit raw animal products from entering the food supply chain. "Our primary mission is to ensure food safety from the farm to the consumer's table," he added.
