Office of Quarantine and Bio-safety

- Studying, policy-making, formulation and implementation of health/quarantine and bio-safety codes and conducts for export/import and transportation of animals and products;

- Studying, planning and establishing the national network of monitoring and controlling animal and animal products shuttling via application of modern technology and findings;

- Studying and collaboration in formulation of health/quarantine and bio-safety codes and conducts in import/export and transition of animal, poultry and aquatic feeds, additives, drugs, vaccines, serums, disinfectants, poisons, biologic materials and primary substances ;

- Contribution in planning and identification and determination of national animal pools followed by issuance of due health certificates;

- Investigation, planning and implementing quarantine stations at appropriate border and inland spots;

- Studying, assessing and monitoring the codes and formalities on issuance of health certificates and permissions for import/export and transition of animals and products;

- Studying and researching on practical issues associated to improved animal health/quarantine systems and animal commodities as well as partnership in research projects;

- Studying and assigning tailor-made training courses for veterinary public/private sectors on execution of animal health/quarantine and bio-safety codes in export/import and transition processes of live animals and raw products accompanied by co-execution of training campaigns;

- Collaboration in drafting and conclusion of the health MoUs/protocols with other countries;

- Partnership in holding technical gathering at national, regional and int’l scales;

- Studying, planning, monitoring, evaluation, inspection, coding and formulating of the strategies in production, export, import, storing, distribution, marketing, releasing and registration of various live and Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) and protection of genetic resources and Gene Bank used in veterinary sector;

- Studying, monitoring, policy-making, evaluation, commenting, inspection and coding for risk analysis as well as contribution in formulation of guidelines for production, import, export, storing, distribution, marketing and releasing various live GMOs followed by protection of genetic resources, gene bank and else being used in veterinary sector;

- Studying, monitoring, policy-making, evaluation, commenting, inspection and coding for issuance of certificates for production factories or creation of GMOs accompanied by protection of genetic resources, gene bank and else being used in veterinary sector;

- Studying, monitoring, policy-making, evaluation, commenting, inspecting and coding for enforcing and development of national GMOs registration network followed by protection of genetic resources, gene bank and else being used in veterinary sector;

- Controlling, monitoring and auditing of production factories, activists in export/import, distribution, storing, marketing and releasing of varying live GMOs followed by protection of genetic resources, gene bank and else being used in veterinary sector;

- Assessing, monitoring and registration of varying live GMOs followed by protection of genetic resources, gene bank and else being used in veterinary sector, comparison with national/int’l standards and formulation of required codes and conducts;

- Investigation, monitoring and proceeding with complaints and hazardous impact assessment of GMOs of varying live GMOs followed by protection of genetic resources, gene bank and else being used in veterinary sector, comparison with national/int’l standards and formulation of relevant codes and conducts;

- Studying, monitoring and designing plans in production, distribution, marketing and releasing various live GMOs followed by protection of genetic resources, gene bank and else being used in veterinary sector;

- Monitoring, coordination and circulation of formal instructions to provincial offices in production, distribution, export/import, marketing and releasing various live GMOs followed by protection of genetic resources, gene bank and else being used in veterinary sector;
