Qazvin province takes delivery of over 536,000 eyed eggs
Qazvin – The Director of Fisheries and Aquatic Affairs at the Qazvin Province Agriculture Organization has announced the arrival of 536,120 imported eyed eggs of cold-water fish from Spain.
According to Mehri Mahmoudi, the shipment arrived in the province by the second half of last December (late autumn), with the aim of producing and supplying juvenile fish needed for cold-water fish farms across the region.
She further explained that the import of these eggs plays a crucial role in boosting production capacity, improving the quality of juvenile fish, and ensuring the sustainability of cold-water fish farming operations in the province.
The official added that necessary plans have been made for the distribution and optimal utilization of the eggs.
The Director of Fisheries and Aquatic Affairs emphasized that supporting producers and securing essential inputs for the aquaculture industry remain top priorities for the department, stressing that this effort will be pursued with full seriousness.
