Minister of Agriculture: Production must be viable for producers, fair for consumers
Tehran – The Iranian Minister of Agriculture has emphasized that agricultural production must strike a delicate balance, ensuring economic viability for producers while remaining fair and accessible for consumers.
Speaking on the matter, Gholamreza Nouri stressed that production cannot be sustained if it proves unprofitable for those at the helm. Pricing policies, he noted, must be carefully calibrated to shield producers from financial losses while allowing consumers to purchase essential goods at equitable prices.
Efforts to achieve this balance are currently underway in close collaboration with agricultural sector organizations and producers themselves, the minister said.
The minister further underscored the relentless nature of agricultural work, describing it as a continuous, round-the-clock endeavor.
He praised the tireless efforts of those operating in this sector, emphasizing their critical role in safeguarding the nation's food security.
