Khorasan Razavi Province - Joghatay County in Iran’s Razavi Khorasan Province has reaffirmed its position as one of the region’s leading grape-producing areas, with 1,170 hectares of vineyards yielding an average of 14 tons per hectare.

 

Local officials project this year’s harvest at approximately 14,700 tons. The main grape varieties cultivated in the county include Turkmen, Shahroodi, Keshmeshi, and Askari.

 

Beyond fresh consumption, Joghatay’s grape output is widely processed into raisins and grape syrup, contributing significantly to the local economy and providing vital employment opportunities in the region.
