Iran’s incoming envoy to Namibia explores vaccine export opportunities at Razi Institute
Tehran - Mohammad-Baqer Beigi, Director of the Third Asia and Oceania Department at Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the country’s next ambassador to Namibia, visited the Razi Vaccine and Serum Research Institute to assess its capabilities in vaccine production and exports.
Dr. Morteza Akbarian emphasized that expanding vaccine exports to African markets has been one of the institute’s strategic priorities in recent years.
He also pointed to Namibia’s considerable potential in the fields of livestock, poultry, and public health.
According to the institute’s senior advisor and head of the president’s office, the visit concluded with an agreement to identify and map opportunities within Namibia’s veterinary and health sectors.
