Iran’s AREEO hosts intl. event on smart livestock farming
Tehran - An international scientific roundtable on “Climate-Adapted Smart Livestock Farming” was held on Monday under the auspices of Iran’s Agricultural Research, Education and Extension Organization (AREEO).
The event brought together delegations from 10 member states of the Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS), along with ambassadors from several Persian Gulf countries, focusing on exchanging scientific insights and practical experiences related to livestock development under diverse climatic conditions.
The roundtable aimed to strengthen scientific and technical cooperation among participating countries while highlighting innovative, climate-resilient approaches to livestock production.
Owing to its scientific and international scope, the event also served as a platform to showcase Iran’s capacities and achievements in agriculture and food security, paving the way for expanded collaboration among Islamic countries.
Discussions centered on smart livestock management, advanced feeding strategies, genetic improvement, and enhancing the resilience of honeybees to climate change.
