Iran launches major agricultural, livestock export terminal in south
Fasa – A groundbreaking ceremony was held for a new export terminal dedicated to greenhouse products and the second phase of a 7,750-head livestock complex in Fasa of Fars southern province.
The event, held last week on Thursday, brought together senior officials, including Mohammad Mehdi Boroumandi, Deputy Minister for Horticulture; Fars Governor Amiri; Fasa’s Member of Parliament Mohammadi; Bahjat Haghighi, Head of the Fars Agricultural Organization; and the county governor.
The “Zarrin Kesht Bartar-e Lotus” project spans 48 hectares, comprising 10 hectares of greenhouses and 38 hectares for livestock operations. With an investment of 5 trillion rials, it is expected to generate 70 direct jobs and an additional 180 indirect jobs.
