Tehran - Iran has secured a place among the world’s ten leading agricultural producers, with the total value of its agricultural output surpassing that of several major European economies, according to data from the World Bank.

 

“Iran’s agricultural production is valued at approximately $57 billion. Germany, France, and the United Kingdom all rank behind Iran in the latest global standings,” the data said.

 

The ranking underscores the country’s agricultural capacity, attributed to expanded water and soil infrastructure alongside the experience and technical expertise of Iranian farmers.

 

Officials say this combination has enabled the sector to sustain productivity in line with global standards.
