Iran exporting 2.4 tons of dairy produce: Deputy minister

Tehran – Iran is exporting a significant 2.4 million tons of milk each year, according to Mohammad Ebrahim Hassan-Nejad, Iran's Deputy Minister of Agriculture for Livestock Production.
Hassan-Nejad emphasized the strength of Iran's livestock sector, noting that the country ranks among the world's best for milk quality and that some industrial dairy units have achieved production records surpassing those in Europe.
Currently, Iran produces a substantial 12.8 million tons of milk annually, with 2.4 million tons earmarked for export, the nation's per capita domestic consumption sits at approximately 120 kilograms, the deputy minister said.
