Tehran – Iran has significantly boosted its chicken meat exports in recent months, with over 18,000 tons shipped overseas in just the first five months of the current Iranian calendar year, an official said.

 

According to Ali Ebrahimi, head of Iran's Poultry Farmers Union, farmers successfully exported 1,800 tons of chicken in the final month of the previous year alone.

 

He attributed the increase in exports to a combination of higher production levels and a domestic market that has been adequately supplied. This surplus has created opportunities for Iranian poultry farmers to expand their reach into international markets.
