Tehran – Iran's apple exports have surged in the first five months of the current Iranian calendar year, reaching $111 million, according to a report by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).

 

The overall value of Iran's agricultural product exports has grown by 33% during this period, the report by IRICA said.

The country exported 2.657 million tons of agricultural products worth $1.453 billion, a 22% increase in both value and weight compared to the previous year.

For the first four months of the year, Iran's agricultural exports reached $1.18 billion, representing a 32% increase in value and 22% in weight.

Over the past Iranian calendar year, Iran's exports of agricultural and foodstuff products saw a 22.5% rise, reaching a total value of $6.3 billion.
