Iran agricultural exports soar

Iran has witnessed a significant surge in agricultural exports during the first four months of the current Iranian year.
Figures released by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) reveal a 32% increase in the volume of agricultural products shipped abroad compared to the same period last year.
The country exported over two million tons of agricultural goods valued at $1.18 billion between March 21 and July 22, 2024. Notably, pistachio exports skyrocketed by 193%, reaching $273 million. Other key agricultural exports included tomatoes, apples, and watermelons, generating a combined value of $347 million.
These positive figures contribute to Iran’s overall trade growth, with non-oil exports reaching $36 billion in the first four months of the year.
