Iran Razi Institute revolutionizes veterinary medicine with 3 new vaccines




Tehran - Razi Vaccine and Serum Research Institute (RVSRI) has made significant strides in veterinary science with the launch of three innovative vaccines for livestock and poultry.

The unveiling ceremony took place at a special event held in the holy city of Mashhad, gathering prominent figures from the veterinary community.

Hamid Reza Farzin, head of RVSRI's Mashhad branch, lauded the dedication of the research team behind these groundbreaking advancements, noting that the new vaccines include hexavalent toxoid vaccine targeting Enterotoxaemia, Black disease, and Blackleg, a pentavalent inactivated vaccine for Enterotoxaemia and Black disease and recombinant reverse genetic vaccine for H5 avian influenza.

He highlighted the superior quality of these vaccines, emphasizing their potential to outperform many imported products.

"By developing these new vaccines, we are not only fulfilling our commitment to meet the country's vaccine needs but also raising the bar for quality and efficacy,” he said.

Farzin concluded by expressing pride in RVSRI's achievement. "This is a momentous occasion for RVSRI. We are pioneers in the field of veterinary vaccine development, and this new genomic vaccine solidifies our position as a global leader."

The event was attended by key figures, including the board of directors of Razi Institute and several high-ranking officials.
