Iran Ministry of Agriculture embarks on major plan to establish 1,000 innovative farms

Tehran – Iran's Ministry of Agriculture has unveiled a bold initiative to establish 1,000 innovative farms by 2026, with the aim of revolutionizing the country's agricultural sector through knowledge-based practices.

According to Mohammad Ghasemi, the head of the Agricultural Institute of Education and Extension, this ambitious plan seeks to foster a more sustainable and efficient agricultural landscape by providing enhanced education, training, and support to farmers across the nation.

Ghasemi emphasized that these innovative farms are expected to directly benefit approximately 25,000 farmers, offering them invaluable resources and expertise. To achieve this goal, the ministry has outlined a phased approach, starting with 150 innovative farms currently in operation and gradually increasing the number to 1,000 by 2026.

Recognizing the pivotal role of rural women in agricultural development, the ministry has invested significantly in their empowerment. Through training programs and the establishment of microcredit funds, the organization has empowered over 53,000 rural and nomadic women to contribute meaningfully to their communities and the agricultural sector.

This ambitious initiative demonstrates Iran's commitment to agricultural modernization and sustainable development, positioning the country at the forefront of innovative agricultural practices.
