Tehran – Iran's Minister of Agriculture and the Acting Head of the Iran Veterinary Organization attended the Sixth National Holstein Cattle Festival and the Second Specialized Livestock, Poultry, and Dairy Exhibition in Tehran, underscoring the role of innovation and private-sector participation in boosting productivity, food security, and livestock exports.

 

The event showcased the latest technologies, technical achievements, and capabilities of private companies in the livestock and dairy sectors, bringing together producers, researchers, knowledge-based firms, and government officials.

 

Officials highlighted the importance of specialized exhibitions in promoting technology transfer, strengthening public-private cooperation, improving animal health standards, and enhancing the competitiveness of Iranian livestock products in domestic and international markets.

 

The festival also spotlighted the Holstein breed, recognized globally for its high milk production, strong genetic potential, and adaptability to modern farming systems. Officials said continued genetic improvement of the breed is key to increasing productivity, ensuring sustainable dairy production, and reinforcing Iran's food security while supporting the expansion of livestock exports.
