Iran, Mauritania discuss ways to expand agricultural ties
Tehran - Iran’s Deputy Minister of Agriculture for Crop Affairs and the Mauritanian ambassador to Iran explored ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in agriculture.
The talks focused on potential collaboration in seeds, vegetables and horticulture, rice, date palm tissue culture and nurseries, agricultural machinery, overseas farming, greenhouse development, and the exchange of expertise in phosphate fertilizers.
The Mauritanian envoy also highlighted his country’s agricultural capacities and expressed interest in visiting Iran’s specialized agricultural exhibitions.
The Iranian official welcomed the proposal and emphasized the role of private sector engagement in advancing practical cooperation.
Both sides expressed hope for expanded agricultural collaboration between the two countries.
