East Azarbaijan cooperating with knowledge-based firms to reform cultivation patterns

East Azarbaijan – In line with materializing major objectives of East Azarbaijan’s Agriculture Organization with respect to reforming the cultivation patterns, the province has sought to produce red sumac saplings which are low-water consuming plants, a provincial official says.

“Effective measures have been taken across the province to reduce pressure on water resources and grow the medicinal plants which consume lower amounts of water,” Parvin Borhani said.

She added that one of the plants is red sumac, noting, “We are getting help from knowledge-based firms in the province to use novel technologies in this regard”.

“The project of red sumac has made great progress and we are producing saplings based on novel methods”.
