Clearance of imported livestock inputs accelerated: IVO
Tehran – Iran's Veterinary Organization (IVO) says it is working around the clock to expedite the clearance of imported livestock inputs, ensuring timely delivery to producers under strict health supervision.
Alireza Rafieipour, head of the organization, announced that shipments arriving at ports are now being processed 24 hours a day. “This initiative aims to remove production bottlenecks and accelerate the supply chain for the livestock and poultry sector.”
Quarantine and biosecurity teams have been deployed at all entry points to inspect incoming shipments, ensuring they meet health standards and comply with regulations, he added.
"These inspections safeguard animal health and strengthen the nation's food security," Rafieipour said.
He added that the organization is coordinating closely with customs and other agencies to minimize delays and expedite the release of animal feed imports to producers across the country.
