Chaharmahal-Bakhtiari tops Iran’s aquatic feed production
Chaharmahal-Bakhtiari - The southwestern province of Chaharmahal-Bakhtiari produces more than 60% of Iran’s aquatic feed, ranking first nationwide, a senior official said.
Mr. Davoudi-Nia, Deputy for Planning and Economic Affairs at the provincial Agricultural Organization, said agriculture accounts for 20–25% of exports and over 30% of employment in the province.
He added, “Despite financial constraints, agricultural output has continued to grow, with production exceeding two million tons in the last crop year, valued at nearly 80 trillion tomans. The province also leads the country in almond production and cold-water fish farming.”
Exports rose 13.4% in value compared to last year, Davoudinia said.
“During the current Ten-Day Dawn (Fajr) celebrations, 68 projects worth more than 1.5 himmat will be inaugurated. In total, 216 projects with investments of 2.5 himmat have been launched this year, creating 8,117 jobs.”
He added that over 50 agricultural investment opportunities have been identified, while 2.3 himmat in financing has been allocated to revive stalled and semi-active projects.
