Tehran - Iran’s Agriculture Minister Gholamreza Nouri has called digital transformation and artificial intelligence essential tools for boosting efficiency and strengthening food security.

 

Addressing a meeting of the Steering Committee on Smart Government, Noori described smart technologies as key to streamlining and modernizing state structures. “Despite existing challenges, the diversity of stakeholders and the scale of services in the agricultural sector make it necessary to move toward digitalization and AI,” he said.

 

He stressed that the ministry’s priority is to reach even the smallest and most remote farmers, noting that smart systems can expand access and improve service delivery.

 

According to Nouri, greater accuracy in agricultural data and stronger management of national food security are among the most important outcomes of digital transformation. He reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to removing obstacles and fully supporting this shift.
