Tehran – Iranian Agriculture Minister Gholamreza Nouri pledged a government initiative to bolster domestic agricultural production and exports, while simultaneously clamping down on market manipulation and monopolies.

Speaking at a recent press conference, Nouri emphasized the administration's commitment to transparency and fairness within the sector.

"The government is resolute in reforming existing procedures, prioritizing transparency and integrity," Nouri said. "Our focus will be squarely on supporting production, producers, and expanding export opportunities."

He added that the ministry will formally pursue the implementation of agricultural electricity rates for flour mills, aiming to reduce operational costs.

Nouri stressed the critical balance between economic reform and market regulation, particularly in fostering production and exports. He urged industry associations to play an active and collaborative role in these initiatives.
