Rome - Iranian Agriculture Minister Gholamreza Nouri has arrived in Rome to attend the World Food Day ceremony at the headquarters of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).

 

Nouri is visiting Italy at the invitation of the FAO director-general to participate in the ceremony and attend the 54th session of the Committee on World Food Security, held at the UN agency’s headquarters in the Italian capital.

 

This year’s World Food Day theme, “Hand in Hand for Better Foods and a Better Future,” highlights the role of innovation and technology in strengthening food security and improving nutrition.

 

It also underscores the importance of combining traditional and Indigenous knowledge with innovative approaches to building more sustainable and resilient food systems.
