North Khorsan - More than 74 tons of pasteurized butter produced in Iran’s North Khorasan Province have been exported to Armenia after receiving the required veterinary health certification, according to an official with the Veterinary Organization of Iran.

 

Mohsen Shad-Del, Head of the Quarantine and Biosecurity Department of the North Khorasan Veterinary Department, said the export was carried out with the approval of the Ministry of Agriculture during the autumn quarter of the current year.

 

“The shipment consisted of pasteurized butter produced by Avank, Sepas, and Yekta Faruj food industry companies and was cleared for export following comprehensive veterinary inspections and health controls.”

 

He further highlighted the supervisory role of veterinary authorities in dairy exports, noting that all stages of production, processing, packaging, and transportation were conducted under the direct oversight of veterinary experts, export health certificate.

 

Shad-Del also stressed that, under existing regulations, only companies that have obtained an IR code from the Veterinary Organization are eligible to export animal-origin products. The IR code confirms that production units meet approved health and technical standards.

 

Looking ahead, the provincial official said efforts are underway to expand export markets, with official correspondence and follow-up actions already initiated to enable exports to other countries, including Belarus and Uzbekistan.
