Iran sets sight on boosting agricultural ties with Africa

Tehran – Iran is actively pursuing agricultural partnerships with African nations, aiming to leverage its technical expertise and investment capacity in exchange for access to overseas cultivation opportunities.
Officials emphasize the potential for "win-win" collaborations, addressing Africa's need for agricultural modernization and Iran's strategic goal of diversifying its food sources.
Iran's capabilities in areas like nuclear agriculture and public and private sector investment are seen as key assets.
First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref recently highlighted Africa's 1.4 billion-strong market, stressing its importance for Iranian exports and as a reliable source of essential agricultural goods.
"Our climate and water challenges necessitate overseas cultivation, making this partnership crucial," he said.
