Iran Razi Institute at forefront of vaccine production

Tehran - The Deputy of Research and Production of Biological Products at the Razi Vaccine and Serum Research Institute announced the production of over 3.4 billion doses of various vaccines and biological products in the past Iranian calendar year of 1403 (ended on March 20).
Mohammad Hossein Fallah added that this level of production marks a significant step in meeting the country's needs in the public health and veterinary sectors.
He emphasized that a major portion of Razi Institute's production consists of live and inactivated poultry vaccines, totaling over 3.1 billion doses, including—for the first time—approximately 500 million doses of a dual vaccine against H9N2 avian influenza and Newcastle disease.
He noted that these vaccines play a key role in controlling poultry diseases, supporting the livestock industry, and ensuring food production and security in the country.
“This year, the institute successfully fulfilled its commitment to produce over 23 million doses of medical products. A substantial portion has already been delivered to the Ministry of Health, while all obligations to the Veterinary Organization have also been met,” Fallah said.
