Riyadh – Iranian Agriculture Minister Gholamreza Nouri met with his Uzbek counterpart, Ali Shir Shukurov, on the sidelines of the 16th Conference of the Parties (COP16) to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification.

 The two officials explored opportunities for enhanced cooperation in agriculture, specifically focusing on technology transfer and market development.

The UNCCD COP16, which began on December 12th in Riyadh, aims to address global challenges such as desertification, land degradation, and drought. The conference emphasizes people-centered approaches to sustainable land management and climate resilience.
