Tehran – Iran's pistachio harvest has reached a new high, with production totaling 300,000 tons in the current Iranian calendar year, according to the Ministry of Agriculture.

This marks a significant 15% increase compared to the previous two years.

Dariush Salempour, Director General of Dried Fruits Affairs at the Ministry, highlighted pistachios as a key agricultural export for Iran. The country boasts the world's largest pistachio orchards and holds the second position globally in terms of production.

Kerman, South Khorasan, Semnan, and Central provinces are the primary regions contributing to Iran's pistachio production.
