Sari – Vietnam is ready to deepen cooperation with Iran’s northern Mazandaran province in agriculture, fisheries, tourism, investment, and trade, Vietnamese Ambassador to Iran Nguyen Luong Ngoc said.

 

During a meeting with Mazandaran Governor-General Mehdi Younesi Rostami, the ambassador said Mazandaran’s strong agricultural, fisheries, and tourism sectors offer significant opportunities for bilateral cooperation.

 

He identified modern agricultural technologies, knowledge exchange, joint investment, and the development of food processing industries as key areas for collaboration.

 

Luong Ngoc also emphasized the importance of exchanging experts, academics, and students to promote technology transfer and strengthen scientific ties between the two sides.

 

Highlighting tourism, he noted the similarities between Vietnam’s and Mazandaran’s natural landscapes, particularly their rice paddies, and described the province’s natural hot springs as a valuable tourism asset. He expressed support for expanding tourist exchanges

 

The ambassador said discussions with the Mazandaran Chamber of Commerce focused on boosting agricultural trade and broader economic cooperation.

 

He added that Vietnam, a major exporter of fisheries products, is prepared to share advanced agricultural and aquaculture technologies to help enhance productivity in Iran.

 

Luong Ngoc also invited Mazandaran’s business community to participate in an international trade exhibition in Vietnam and said the launch of direct flights between the two countries, expected in September, would facilitate business, tourism, and technical exchanges while opening a new chapter in bilateral cooperation.
