Shiraz Expo 2025 opens with participation of Arab delegations
Shiraz - The international event “Shiraz Expo 2025” officially opened at the Fars International Permanent Fairground, attended by foreign delegations from several Arab countries as well as senior Iranian officials and business representatives.
According to Tasnim News Agency, the expo aims to strengthen Iran’s economic and trade relations with neighboring countries while showcasing the nation’s industrial, scientific, and investment potential.
Payam Baqeri, Vice President of the Iran Chamber of Commerce, speaking at the opening ceremony, highlighted Iran’s deep-rooted economic, historical, and cultural ties with Arab nations. “Iran has always prioritized good neighborliness and closer regional cooperation,” he said, expressing optimism that trade exchanges with regional partners will continue to expand.
He described Iran as a country rich in investment opportunities and human capital, noting that Arab nations have long been reliable trade partners.
The official emphasized that Shiraz Expo 2025 provides a valuable platform for introducing foreign investors to the economic, industrial, and scientific capacities of Fars Province.
He further called for well-defined strategies during the event to foster sustainable business development through joint ventures, logistics cooperation, and integration into global value chains. Baqeri also proposed the creation of a Gulf Cooperation Council Executive Committee to enhance regional economic coordination.
Praising Shiraz and Fars Province as major economic, industrial, and tourism hubs, he noted that the region’s rich culture and hospitality complement its strong business potential.
The Vice President of the Iran Chamber of Commerce urged greater engagement between Iranian and Arab entrepreneurs to unlock new investment opportunities.
