Razi Institute represents Iran at global vaccine summit in Bali

Bali - Representatives of Iran’s Razi Vaccine and Serum Research Institute took part in the 26th Annual General Meeting of the Developing Countries Vaccine Manufacturers Network (DCVMN), held in Bali, Indonesia.

During a high-level session titled “Vaccine Alliance Against Global Pandemics,” the Iranian delegation underscored the importance of strengthening regional and international cooperation in vaccine research, production, and equitable distribution.

Dr. Ali Es’haqi, President of the Razi Institute, and Dr. Seyed Reza Bani Hashemi, Director of Research and Development, attended the meeting under the theme “Thinking Beyond Borders.”

Discussions focused on joint strategies to enhance pandemic preparedness, expand vaccine production capacity in developing countries, and foster scientific partnerships across regions.

The event brought together senior officials from the World Health Organization (WHO), the Asian Development Bank (ADB), and other international organizations.

Participants explored ways to build a resilient regional vaccine ecosystem through shared infrastructure, harmonized production and evaluation standards, and the facilitation of technical and scientific exchange.
