MASHHAD – The Director of Crop Cultivation at the Agricultural Organization of Khorasan Razavi, in the northeast of Iran, has forecast that more than 6,600 tons of canola will be harvested from 2,650 hectares of cultivated land in the province.

 

Alireza Erfanian announced that for the upcoming agricultural year, the canola cultivation area in the province exceeds 2,650 hectares, from which over 6,600 tons are expected to be harvested.

 

"Last year, canola production in the province stood at approximately 3,700 tons," he said. "This year, we will achieve a 100% increase in production."

 

Erfanian added that the condition of canola fields across the province is very favorable.

 

Noting the crop's strategic importance in reducing the country's dependence on cooking oil imports, he emphasized that promoting canola cultivation remains a top priority for the organization.
