Mazandaran agricultural exports soar 100 percent

Mazandaran – Agricultural exports from Mazandaran Province, located in northern Iran, have experienced a remarkable surge.
According to a provincial official, exports of agricultural products increased by a staggering 100% during the first five months of the current Iranian calendar year compared to the same period last year.
Amir Jamshidi, an official with the province's Customs Department, revealed that over 15,000 tons of agricultural products worth $6 million were exported from Mazandaran during this period.
This significant growth aligns with the broader trend of increasing agricultural exports from Iran. The Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) reported a 33% increase in the value of Iran's agricultural product exports during the same five-month period.
The country exported a total of 2.657 million tons of agricultural products worth $1.453 billion, representing a 22% year-on-year increase in volume.
