Mazandaran Province is Iran agricultural export hub, deputy minister says


Tehran - Agriculture Minister Mohammad Mehdi Boroumandi said Mazandaran Province is the nation's undisputed agricultural hub, responsible for powering over $8 billion in annual agricultural exports.
"With confidence, we can say Mazandaran is the agricultural hub of Iran," Boroumandi said.
"The numbers don't lie – Mazandaran isn't just another farming region, it's the beating heart of Iran's food security and agricultural exports," he said.
The official praised the vital role of Mazandaran’s farmers in ensuring national food security, adding, "Mazandaran is an exceptionally important province for us and the people of Iran."
He also emphasized the critical impact of agricultural exports on the national economy, noting that farm exports contribute over $8 billion in annual foreign revenue.
