Shiraz—Iran has opened a new pesticide production company in Shiraz, Fars Province, with the aim of boosting the city’s agricultural sector.

 

The facility's first phase was officially opened by Jahangir Mirzaei, head of the Nomadic Affairs Organization, who underscored the importance of supporting domestic producers and farmers striving for national independence.

 

"We must support and honor selfless producers and farmers of our country," Mirzaei said at the inauguration ceremony.

 

He noted the complex nature of pesticide production and commended those working in the field.

 

Officials hope the factory will meet domestic demand and eventually export both products and expertise.
