Khorasan Razavi - The governor of Razavi Khorasan announced that the province’s exports to Kyrgyzstan are expected to double next year, following the recent visit of a high-level economic delegation.

 

Gholam-Hossein Mozaffari said that just as earlier missions to Uzbekistan and Pakistan led to significant growth in provincial exports, Kyrgyzstan also offers substantial potential for expanding trade.

 

He noted that a delegation of 40 business leaders accompanied the visit, during which extensive talks were held with officials in Osh and Bishkek.

 

The official described the activation of the China–Osh–Sarakhs rail corridor as a major development that could accelerate regional trade.

 

He added that Kyrgyzstan has expressed strong interest in agricultural cooperation and has offered attractive financial proposals.

 

According to the governor, a new government resolution now allows the import of essential goods from neighboring countries, and the import of high-quality Kyrgyz livestock products is under active review.

 

“Razavi Khorasan’s current exports to Kyrgyzstan total 112 million dollars, he said, expressing confidence that this figure will at least double next year.”

 

Mozaffari also emphasized the importance of land-based cultivation projects, increased investment, and the formation of strong commercial consortia by Iranian entrepreneurs operating in Kyrgyzstan.
