Iran quality saffron on sale on commodity exchange

Tehran - A significant quantity of Iranian saffron was offered for sale on the country's commodity exchange on Sunday.
The Rural Cooperatives Organization announced that 2,000 kilograms of high-quality saffron are available for purchase starting Sunday at a base price of 90 million Tomans per kilogram.
The saffron, sourced from the 2021 harvest, is offered in various grades, including cut strands of different qualities and whole saffron. Buyers can purchase a minimum of 100 kilograms.
The product will be delivered from warehouses located in Mashhad, Khorasan Razavi Province. It is packaged in sealed nylon bags of up to 5 kilograms.
For credit purchases, buyers are required to make a 10% down payment in cash and pay the remaining balance within four months. A bank guarantee is necessary to secure the credit purchase.
To avoid storage fees, buyers must arrange transportation of the saffron within 10 working days of the authorized delivery date. Any delay may result in a storage charge of 40 Rials per gram per day. Additionally, buyers are responsible for any potential quality degradation caused by late pickup.
