Tehran – Iran is ready to share its extensive agricultural expertise and technology with member states of the Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS), Agriculture Minister Gholamreza Nouri said.

 

Nouri made the remarks on Monday during a meeting with Director General of the Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS) H.E. Ambassador Berik Aryn.

 

The Iranian minister stressed the critical need for enhanced cooperation within the IOFS to address food security challenges.

 

He further highlighted Iran's readiness to provide technical assistance in key areas, including agricultural research, livestock breeding, vaccine production, and the supply of advanced agricultural machinery.

 

"Iran stands as a leader in agricultural technology, and we are prepared to share our advancements to benefit the entire Islamic world," Nouri stated.

 

Director-General Ambassador Aryn, for his part, welcomed Iran's offer, emphasizing the importance of establishing an IOFS gene bank and acknowledging Iran's significant genetic resources.

 

He also officially invited Minister Nouri to attend the IOFS agriculture ministers' meeting in Kazakhstan, scheduled for June 2024, to discuss these collaborative initiatives further.
