Tehran and Dushanbe are seeking to build closer ties in water resource management and agricultural development, according to reports by Mehr news agency.

Iranian Deputy Minister of Agriculture for Water and Soil Affairs Safdar Niyazi Shahraki met with Tajik water and soil officials to discuss areas for collaboration.

The talks highlighted the potential for Iranian companies to export irrigation equipment and technical expertise to Tajikistan.
