Iran, Uzbekistan explore ways to develop agricultural ties

The head of Iran Plant Protection Organization and the ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Iran discussed ways to promote bilateral ties between the two nations in the sector of agriculture.
In a recent meeting in Tehran on Wednesday, Zahra Jalili-Moqaddam and Fariddin Nasriyev explored ways to expand cooperation on agricultural and natural resources.
They also stressed the need for enhanced diplomatic relations between Tehran and Tashkent.
Iran and Uzbekistan have the potential to boost their bilateral trade to $1 billion, according to experts.
