Iran, Saudi Arabia renew agricultural ties

Tehran - The Iranian Ministry of Agriculture has decided to resume exports of fruits to Saudi Arabia, the director general of the Office of International Affairs and Specialized Organizations announced.
Hooman Fathi said that the ministry has initiated reviving fruit exports to the Saudi market.
Prior to a diplomatic rift between the two countries, Iran was a major supplier of fruits to Saudi Arabia, he added.
To further strengthen agricultural cooperation, Iran and Saudi Arabia have established two joint technical committees. These committees will work to identify and address challenges, promote trade, and explore opportunities for investment in the agricultural sector.
Iranian exports to Saudi Arabia are expected to include a wide range of products, including apples, citrus fruits, dried fruits, seafood, processed food items, and saffron.
