Riyadh – Iranian Agriculture Minister Gholamreza Nouri and Pakistani Assistant Minister for Climate Change Khursheed Alam met on the sidelines of the 16th Conference of the Parties (COP16) to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD).

The two officials discussed potential collaborations to address the growing threat of desertification in both countries.

The COP16 conference, which began today in Riyadh, aims to combat desertification, accelerate land restoration, and build resilience to drought through community-driven solutions.

This high-level international gathering, held from December 2nd to 13th, brings together government officials, businesses, and civil society organizations from around the world to address the pressing issue of desertification and drought.
