CIRDAP eager to boost ties with Iran
The director-general of the Asia-Pacific Integrated Rural Development Center (CIRDAP) voiced readiness to promote cooperation with Iran in various fields.
In a meeting with Chairman of Iran’s Agricultural Planning, Economic and Rural Development Research Institute (APERDRI) Ali Kiani-Rad in Tehran on Saturday, the director general of CIRDAP pointed to the significant changes he had observed since his last visit to Iran, highlighting the country's development over the past decade.
He stressed CIRDAP's commitment to further strengthening cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
In addition, the CIRDAP's Director-General sought Iran's and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' support for the designation of July 6 as World Rural Development Day, a proposal submitted by the Center to the UN General Assembly.
Kiani-Rad expressed Iran's willingness to utilize CIRDAP's full potential for knowledge and experience sharing among member countries.
He also declared Iran's readiness to collaborate with CIRDAP on joint projects.
