Tehran – The Iranian Minister of Agriculture highlighted the importance of preserving the cultural and productive systems of rural and nomadic communities.


In a recent meeting with the head and members of the Institute for Planning Research in Agricultural Economics and Rural Development, Gholamreza Nouri said, “In the formation of the 'Rural Development and Advancement Organization,' the authenticity of rural and nomadic communities, which are both a production and cultural system, must be preserved.”
 
He added, "Considering that agriculture is a rural-based industry, the development of programs for the Rural Development and Advancement Organization must be a priority.”
 
The Minister also highlighted the need to utilize experiences from other countries in research studies to avoid wasting energy, time, and resources.
