13th Iranian Agricultural Economics Conference underway in Alborz

Alborz - Iran's 13th Agricultural Economics Conference – seen as a key opportunity to harness expert knowledge to overcome the country’s agricultural challenges and enhance sector management – is being held in Alborz Province, west of the capital Tehran.
The 13th Iranian Agricultural Economics Conference opened on Sunday in Alborz Province with the presence of the Minister of Agriculture Gholamreza Nouri.
Addressing the opening ceremony, the minister described the function as a “valuable platform for experts and elite to share their knowledge and experiences.”
This conference is an opportunity for acquiring the experiences and knowledge of experts and elites for the macro-management of agriculture and overcoming the challenges of this sector, he added.
According to scientific secretary of the conference, the two-day event’s main topics include agricultural development policies, agricultural product marketing, the economics of natural resources and the environment considering the shortage of drinking water, the issue of forests and fisheries, the economics of production and resource management, new areas in agricultural economics, the intelligent transformation of knowledge-based companies and their role in agricultural development.
