Kermanshah – Iran currently stands among the world’s top ten producers in 30 key horticultural products, according to Iran’s Minister of Agriculture.

Gholamreza Nouri made the remarks during the inauguration of the second phase of a shade canopy project in Gakiyeh village, Kermanshah province, highlighting the country’s thriving horticultural sector and its growing export potential.

The newly expanded project in Gakiyeh supports the cultivation of high-demand fruits, including grapes, apples, cherries, quince, and pears, he said.

Once fully operational, it is expected to produce 2,000 tons annually, supplying domestic markets and further strengthening Iran’s agricultural output,” the minister noted.
