Tehran - Iran’s Minister of Agriculture has traveled to Tashkent at the head of a 120-member strong delegation of businesspeople, traders and private-sector representatives to lead the first Steering Committee meeting on agricultural cooperation between Iran and Uzbekistan.

 

Seyed Sajjad Hosseini, adviser to the agriculture minister and head of the Ministry of Agriculture’s Public Relations and Information Center, announced the minister’s visit in a post on X.

 

The minister is scheduled to lead discussions with Uzbek officials and business representatives on expanding bilateral cooperation in agriculture and related economic sectors.

 

The establishment of the joint steering committee is expected to provide a framework for closer engagement between the two countries’ agricultural authorities and private sectors, with the delegation’s participation highlighting the role of trade and business ties in advancing bilateral agricultural cooperation.
