Start of operation of 150 fishery projects by presidential
decree

150 national projects of the Ministry of Jihad- Agriculture in
the field of fisheries were put into operation with an investment of 585
billion Tomans and job creation for 15,720 people.

Nbiolah Khoun-Mirzaie, the Deputy Minister and Head of the
Fisheries Organization of Iran, at the inauguration ceremony of the national
projects of the Ministry of Jihad-Agriculture by the President, stated that: In
the last 3 years, the average export of shrimp was 29,000 tons per year, which
in the first 11 months of 2020, more than 17,000 tons of products were exported
to 26 countries.

Khoun-Mirzaie, about the fishing capacities of Bushehr
province, told: Coastal and marine aquaculture is one of the advantages of this
province and this province is one of the shrimp farming centers of the country
which its production chains and value have significantly improved.

He added: So far,
more than 64,000 hectares of shrimp farms have been handed over to applicants,
of which more than 40,000 hectares have been made in the current government
time.

He explained about the opening of Bamdad Shiff Shrimp
Breeding Complex and told: So far, two phases of shrimp farming have been put
into operation in Shiff city of Bushehr province, and today its development
phase called Bamdad with an investment of 240 billion Tomans is ready for
operation as a symbol of 150 fisheries projects in the country.

Khoun-Mirzaie also mentioned that: In previous years, the
average production of shrimp in the country's farms has been more than 6 tons
in farms with electricity, and  3.5 tons
per hectare in farms without electricity.
