The plan to launch the World Saffron Organization with
the acronym of OSEC

A spokesman for the parliament's economic commission said:
The launch plan of the World Saffron Organization, abbreviated as OSEC, which
its acronym was mimicked from on the OPEC organization, is on the agenda.

 With the formation of
this organization, Iran Commodity Exchange can become the main reference for
determining the price of saffron in the world. Seyyed Hasan Hossein-Shahroudi
added: For many years, we have been witnessing the export of Iranian saffron in
bulk to different countries of the world, so that after packing saffron in some
of those countries, unfortunately, Iranian red gold is sold under the brand of
those countries, which has reduced the country's saffron status.

 He then added that:
Meanwhile, the entry of saffron into the commodity exchange has been a positive
step towards reforming these trends, which with the launch of the World
Organization for Saffron, OSEC, there is no doubt that the ground will be laid
for the introduction of Iranian saffron to the world and the price authority of
the Iranian Stock Exchange.
