Russia takes delivery of 3rd shipment of Iran citrus
fruits
The third consignment of citrus fruits was exported from
Iran’s northern province of Mazandaran to the Russian Federation on January 3,
the director general of ports and maritime department of Amirabad Port said.
Mohammad Ali Mousapour highlighted Mazandaran's growing
export prowess and expressed optimism for sustained shipments of non-oil
products, particularly citrus fruits, through Amirabad Port.
Buoyed by recent successes, he envisioned Mazandaran
becoming a key exporter of agricultural goods to CIS countries, with citrus
leading the charge.
The official pointed to the considerable production of
citrus fruits in this northern province and said the department is ready to
export products such as agricultural and horticultural products to foreign
countries.
The first shipment of the citrus
fruits had been exported from this province overseas in November 2023,
Mousapour said.
